Okay, just for the record – I am NOT promising that I won’t have to excuse myself several times during the week to get sick because I CAN’T believe that Jackie is HOH… Ugh Ugh Ugh!
And, as if to validate my irky feelings towards her, one of the first things we hear Jackie say regarding being HOH is, “I want to prove that I’m not a pawn… I’m a queen.” KMN (Kill me now….) I mean, seriously, who says stuff like this who isn’t saying it while they’re laffin’?
Vanessa told us that she really didn’t want to be HOH this week, but when she saw Jackie win the first HOH spot – She knew that she had to win the next one or risk that she would be put up for elimination. Vanessa knows that because she sent home Jackie’s best friend (Jeff) that she is now probably one of her biggest targets.
James tells Clay and Austin that he predicts that a guy will prolly go home this week… I guess we shall see. Austin’s primary goal is to make sure the twins are safe this week so that both twins will enter the house and be able to compete. He thinks this will add another number to his alliance. He thinks they actually like him. Silly, silly Austin.
Austin continues to be silly because he decides to give Jason some info – Even though he just got in trouble last week for divulging info to Jackie without first having talked his 6th Sense Alliance members about it. He thinks by giving Jason some innocuous information that it will somehow ingratiate Austin to Jason and that magically Jason will no longer target the twins. Austin has clearly lost his mind.
Austin talks to Jason 2 hours before Audrey’s eviction. He confirms to Jason that he’s been right all along – that he’s found out that there are indeed twins in the house and that the other twin’s name is Julia. Jason immediately knows something is up and questions why Austin is suddenly giving HIM this information. He doesn’t understand how Austin telling him the information will help Austin’s game… I’m telling you – Jason is a very savvy player and they ALL should be very askeered of him, in my opinion.
Austin tells Jason he wants to split the twins up. He says that he wants to take Liz to Jury – but that they can get rid of Julia before Jury. My brain is blowing up right about now, because all the House has to do is vote off Liz THIS week to get rid of 2 birds with one stone, no? But alas, Austin’s heart belongs to Liz, he says. Little does he know that Liz is going to rip his heart out and jump up and down on it.
Later, Jason and Meg are in talking in whispers while in bed. Jason tells Meg about his conversation with Austin. He not only tells Meg about the twins, but specifically that Austin likes one twin but not the other. Austin and the twins are targets of Jason.
Jason and Liz run to tell Shelli that Austin told Jason the name of the other twin. Shelli can’t believe her ears. She cannot believe that Austin is exposing the twins now when they only have one more week in the house before they’re both admitted in to play the game. It seems like she interprets this move to not only be bad for the twins, but also for Austin.
Vanessa conveniently enters the conversation as it’s going on between Jason, Meg, and Shelli. She is really cranky about what she’s hearing – Especially the detail about Austin’s okay with Julia being voted off the island but that he wants Liz to stay until Jury. She looks at it like Austin is saying that it’s okay to target someone in their alliance. Oopsie!
And of course, because Shelli is Shelli-Clay – She runs and tells Clay about the conversation they all just had. Clay knows the twins are gonna be mad at Austin when they find out he’s throwing Julia under the bus – Because, as Clay says, “They are womb-mates.” Lol… “Womb-mates” like “Roommates” – Get it? This may have been the funniest thing Clay’s ever said (that we’ve seen)… lol. They agree that Austin is throwing Julia under the bus for his own personal good. Well, technically, it’s for Liz’s good… but okay…
Jackie and Vanessa have their big HOH strategy session. Vanessa plays Jackie like a fiddle. Vanessa really wants to find some common ground with Jackie. They pinkie swear (not really) not to backdoor each other that week. Vanessa asks Jackie where her head is at… Surprisingly, no mention of Jackie’s head being up her ass was made… Although obviously, that’s where I think it is (excuse the rudeness).
Jackie wants to put Liz up on the block because Liz put Jackie up on the block and turnabout is fair play. Vanessa decides not to take issue with it because if she does it will look like she’s working with Liz. Please tell me how the other side of the house doesn’t know about the 6th Sense Alliance again? Jackie says that she’s thinking about putting up Steve. Although I would be sad if Steve is nominated, I just hope no one puts up John, “I want to be a dentist, you know.” The guy deserves a break.
They talk about backdooring Austin. Jackie is okay with it and thinks that if the other twin comes into the game that it will just mean that for the next 2 weeks, the House vote will be easy because they will just target the twins one-by-one. Jackie wants to remain HOH which is fine with Vanessa because she doesn’t want any of Austin’s backdoored blood on her hands.
The most interesting thing that happened when everyone got to see their HOH rooms was that James fell deeply in love with Vanessa’s mom’s picture. He even made a special trip up to the HOH room just to tell her that, too. Vanessa tells him that it’s too bad she’s already married. Boy… You just get the feeling that some horrible woman is going to bat her baby blues at James and take advantage of him and his obvious naivety. Of course, I’m not a fan of how James views women in general, but that’s a whole nuther Oprah.
Before Vanessa goes through with backdooring Austin, she wants to make sure that he is the “Judas” that she suspects he might be. She talks to Austin about his conversation with Jason. Of course, Austin lies to her and tells her that Jason asked HIM about the twins. He also lies and says that Jason wants Julia out because he likes Liz’s personality more.
Vanessa knows that Austin is a lyin’ liar who lies… She knows because, 1) He’s not giving her all of the details of the conversation and is purposefully trying to be vague; and, 2) He’s trying to say that Jason sold Julia out when she KNOWS that Austin was the one who did it. Austin tells us that he doesn’t WANT to lie to Vanessa but that he just doesn’t want her to yell at him for being stupid this week. Too late, buddy… I can’t believe how much my mind has changed about Austin… First, I didn’t like him, his arrogance, or his gameplay… Then I started liking his gameplay… And now I hate his gameplay… lol… I feel so fickle…lol.
Vanessa tells Austin that she’s trying to hide the fact that they’re working together. Vanessa looks directly into the camera and asks why Austin had to lie to her…
The truth is that Vanessa has been torn between two sides of their alliance… the Shelli-Clay side and the Austin side. She now sees how Austin is falling in love with Liz and how that’s clouding his judgment and how he plays the game. Vanessa jumps over to play on the Shelli-Clay side of the alliance.
Okay, in general I think Vanessa is pretty danged smart and can run circles around most of the others in the House… But then she goes and does something really wonky to me… Sigh…
Okay, are you sitting down? Vanessa tells Julia about her conversation with Jason. She tells Julia about Austin’s comment regarding being okay if people vote off Julia as long as they keep Liz through to the Jury stage. Of course, Julia’s blood is boiling. Julia confides to Vanessa that Liz doesn’t really like Austin anyway. AFTER she’s already told Julia the information, Vanessa makes Julia promise not to tell Liz about it. Right, sure… like Julia won’t tell her sister. Harde har har har…
Vanessa, Jackie, Shelli and Clay talk about strategy. Everyone agrees that Austin is the target this week. They try to figure out who Vanessa should put up on the block. They agree that it needs to be 2 people who will win the competition. They think that Becky would be a good choice. Clay volunteers to go up on the block with Becky because he thinks they will win. And why on EARTH would he think he will win anything because he hasn’t so far… Why not put up Shelli and Becky – Because based on the competitions thus far, Shelli is more likely to win than Clay, no? Later, Becky is asked if she’s okay with being put up on the block if she knows the other side will throw the competition. She’s not so okay with it, but once she hears that Clay is competing with her, she’s more okay with it.
Vanessa walks into the conversation and is clued in that Becky has agreed to go up on the block with Clay. Vanessa tells her she told them she wouldn’t put Becky up unless she agreed to it.
Okay, now that they have Vanessa’s nominees set – They now have to find a pawn who will throw the competition to put up next to Liz as Jackie’s nominee. Vanessa, Jackie, Jason, Meg, and James meet to talk. The plan is explained to the potential pawns. They’re told how they are targeting Austin but that he absolutely cannot get wind of it. No one immediately volunteers to be a pawn. Jason understands the concept but does not want to do it. James says he has no problem if Jackie puts him up on the block – because he put her up. Vanessa reiterates to them that Austin can’t find out the throwing of the Battle of the Block competition. She shakes everyone’s hand individually to drive home the point. I completely die laffin’ because ya know… as IF someone shaking your hand in the Big Brother’s House means anything at all… lol…
Jackie – Nominates James and Liz with the explanation that they both put her up on the block.
Vanessa – Nominates Clay with the explanation that she’s trying to be fair because he has yet to win HOH or to be put up on the block.
Vanessa nominates Becky with the lame explanation that she knows she can respect the game for what it is. Blahditty blah blah blah.
Austin tells us that he is nervous that Liz is on the Block – but the only thing he can do at this point is to trust in Vanessa’s plan. Oh, do you mean the plan to backdoor YOU????? Lol…
Vanessa congratulates John and says, “Hey buddy – You’re not on the block!” If you remember, Vanessa promised to John that she would NOT put him on the block if he threw that last competition when she was HOH.
When he’s in the Diary Room, John lets out a honkin’ WHOOP! He’s so excited that he’s not on the block. He’s not sure what to do with himself, though… He seems shocked that he just has to sit around and not be all worried about stuff…lol. This is so awesome… Yay!
Vanessa tells Julia that she isn’t the target. Julia really trusts Vanessa. Vanessa wants to be the person that Julia and Liz trust the most once Austin is gone.
Julia breaks the news to Liz that they’re on the Block and that they’re playing against “Team America” – Clay and Becky. Julia tells Liz that they can ONLY trust Vanessa. They talk about how much Austin likes Liz. Liz is evidently a heartbreaker. Julia tells Liz that Austin will do ANYTHING for her and that he “scary creep” likes her. Julia stops short and does NOT tell Liz about Austin throwing Julia under the bus. WOW! WOW! WOW! I would have bet the farm that she would have told her twin what actually happened… Whoa whoa… Evidently, she KNEW Liz would flip out and confront Austin or something…
Vanessa and Jackie try to console Shelli who almost threw up when she physically saw Clay’s picture as he was nominated for eviction. Keep in mind that Shelli KNEW that he was being nominated and actually volunteered to be nominated. Shouldn’t Shelli’s reaction cause them some alarm that she and Clay are THAT close? Vanessa and Jackie assure Shelli this is the best case scenario for Clay because it’s a very safe nomination and he will be protected.
Battle of the Block – Splashy Headlines
Meg is the announcer… Tells the players to go to the memory wall for a few minutes and then to meet her in the backyard.
Hey they have a dancing flower – I got one of those just last month for my birthday from my friend Joyce. I always knew Joyce was kewl…
The backyard has been converted into two identical sets – There are two large blank walls along with some white painted furniture, etc… A comment was made about the blankness of the set reminded them of what it must look like in Clay’s head.
Meg tells them it’s the BB Newsroom – She says that the latest news headline is regarding 3 former Big Brother houseguests who were seen eating at Outback Steakhouse. They’re told there are invisible letters all over the set (and their shirts) and that they’re supposed to take the letters and arrange them into the names of 3 houseguests. They have to take vats of paint and splash them all over the walls and everything else (including themselves) in order to see the letters magically appear. The first team that correctly identifies the names of the 3 houseguests wins the Battle of the Block, secures their own safety for the week, and dethrones the HOH who nominated them.
The players are told that even MORE is at stake – because the winning team will win a very special award.
James is throwing competition – but he knows he can’t make it too obvious. His teammate, Liz, knows this is a MUST WIN for her – So that she can make sure that she and her sister are able to finally compte together next week.
The competition is hysterical to watch because buckets of paint are being thrown around everywhere. James is trying to do a good job of throwing the competition. He says of himself, “I must look nuttier than a squirrel turd right now.” I die laffin’… Okay, I’ve NEVER heard that saying before in my life, but Mr. Stars99 says it’s something everyone says in the South. Where have I been?
Brace yourself because Liz thinks she’s the brains of the operation… Which is a pretty scary concept, no? James keeps talking about numbers but of course, since they only have to identify people’s names – no numbers are involved. Liz is really bustin’ her ass doing this challenge.
OMG… James and Liz won the battle of the block and are safe this week… OMG that is hilariousssss!
Becky and Clay are a heartbeat behind them in their correct guess… Whoa… That was really close.
Okay, this means the Twins are in – and there’s NOTHING anyone can do about it. James honestly ells Liz that she did all of the work because she did… lol.
The winning contestants are told they get to have a meal at Outback Steakhouse. What do you bet that the 3 contestants they identified will be at dinner with them? We shall see… lol.
So what do you think? Did you see the holes in their plan from the beginning? Is it as funny to you as it is to me that even with James purposefully trying to throw the competition that STILL Clay and Becky couldn’t win?
I know this still doesn’t screw up the plan too much since many of the houseguests seem to be on board with backdooring Austin – but it was just so danged hilarious to me.
Thanks for reading… See ya next time!
