After Jason found out he was backdoored, Vanessa tries to tell him that she didn’t want to blindside him but that she had no choice. Ummm… Yeah, you did have a choice… You could have simply, a) told him; or, b) not backdoored him.
Those not in on the “blindside” are feeling betrayed and whole lot of other things. Meg is crushed and is balling her eyes out… Jackie is pissed off and is feeling like a total idiot… Jason is confused and is understandably angry… Becky is just going to lay low and hope she gets all the votes on Thursday.
It dawns on Jason that everyone is upset except Clay and Shelli – and that they’ve been behind every single eviction this whole time so why would this be any different.
Meg asks Clay if he knew about the blindside – and he lies to her that he didn’t know. He tells Meg that he thinks that Austin made a deal with Vanessa. It’s hilarious that I can’t really decide of Clay is just playing dumb or if he really is that cerebrally challenged…
Meg goes to the HOH room to talk to Vanessa – Meg tells her that she feels like a very dumb girl because she thought they were working together. Vanessa explains that when she accidentally stayed in power that people wanted her to make the move they actually wanted to have happen.
Actually, Vanessa – YOU are the one who made the move – Whatever the motivation for it. Meg asks Vanessa if they (Shelli and Clay) knew about putting Jason up before it happened? Vanessa responds, “Obviously.” Rut roh… Meg knows Clay just lied to her face. Vanessa says that for some reason Shelli and Clay feel threatened. She further reasons that she would never do a move like this on her own – because it would be a truly dumb-ass move. Vanessa tells Meg that if they pretend they didn’t know it’s going to piss her off. Meg tells her that no one is admitting they knew anything about it. Vanessa is glad she knows that piece of information…
Jackie, Shelli, Julia (I think) talk to Vanessa about how it went down. Vanessa said it came down to whether she felt she could trust Austin more or Jason more… And that it was Austin all the way. Julia said that she agreed with Vanessa’s decision because of Jason’s outing of the twin thing. I wish they would give DaVonne the props for being the one who first noticed the twin thing. How quickly they forget…
Vanessa said a big majority of the people in the house agree on evicting Jason. Jackie specifically asks Shelli if she was part of the majority who felt that way. Shelli said that she didn’t want Jason to go. Vanessa incredulously asks, “You don’t want Jason to go?” Shelli got all defensive and buffalos that she doesn’t want anyone to go… Vanessa points blank asks Shelli if she’s behind her in the decision that she made. She never answers the question but Jackie sees right through it and knows Shelli is being “shady as hell.” Vanessa continued her spinning by telling them that when presented with all the options, that was the one everyone preferred.
James, Meg, Jackie, Becky, and Jason all have a strategy session to figure out how they can convince Shelli and Clay that the entire house will come after them next week if they vote out Jason. The first part of his plan is to make Shelli and Clay paranoid. He lies to them and tells them that Becky told him that she’s coming after them next week. Jason smartly walks them through it that if they vote to keep him, that they would be on top of his and Meg’s favorite people list… and that Jackie and James would also be grateful. He tries to convince them they would be in a much better place that way, than they currently are with Austin, Liz and Vanessa.
John – Wow… We get an up-close and personal interview with John’s dental coworkers. They are laffing because he’s so different while he’s playing the game because he’s acting like he’s so dumb – and that he’s actually really smart, is a master of the game, and knows exactly what he’s doing. They’re seeing a real different side of him on the show. Wow… They even interviewed a patient… You’ll be happy to know that he cleans a mean tooth. His dad almost fell on the floor when he announced he wanted to go to dental school because health class made him sick to his stomach. His brother divulges to us that his plan was to go in, make everyone love him, and then one-by-one stab them all in the back.
Becky does a generic “Please vote to keep me” speech. She loves Jason even though he’s wild and she’s simple.
Jason thanks everyone who had a part in getting him on this show. He asks people to vote for the person who going to help their long-term game. He was glad he was able to stay true to himself – And if he is eliminated – No regrets, just choices.
Jason is evicted by a vote of 7-2 (Meg and James voted for him to stay). As he leaves, he tells everyone to play hard because he doesn’t want to watch a bunch of lazy houseguests (he used a different word… but I will censor it…lol). He walks out to thunderous applause.
The goodbye messages were sweet for the most part… Meg cried… Jackie said that if there was one person who should have won this game – it would be him… But Liz… Wow… Liz said, “Hey Jason, so I know you thought you had one up on me and my sister but she’s coming into this house and you’re going home – Have fun watching from mom’s basement.” Then she blows him a kiss… Wow…
Julie interviews Julia and tells her the good news she’s entering the game. Duh… She’s wearing athletic clothes for the HOH challenge that’s happening any moment now… It couldn’t have been a surprise to her. She enters the house. Yawn. So anti-climactic.
Houseguests are also told during this episode that there will be no more Battle of the Block and no more 2 HOHs… So this next HOH competition is really, REALLY important.
HOH Competition – On The Edge
Hang onto the crumbling cliff for dear life… They are standing on a small ledge with their backs literally against a wall while holding onto to hand grips to their sides – The entire wall leans forward… then backward – over and over again. Then they get rained on… I mean POURED on… Then eagles attack their midsections… Wait… that’s pretty close to boobyland for the girls… I’m not liking that part of it – It doesn’t seem so fair to me.
The competition continues the episode ends. Those who have read the feeds or the transcription of the feeds – knows what happens. As promised, I won’t reveal spoilers in my write-up – but you guys can say whatever you want in the comments.
If you’re curious and you want spoilers… These are two sites you can find them – I’m sure there are others:
With Jason’s eviction… We have the following remaining houseguests… But where are their loyalties after Jason’s backdooring? Even if they voted to convict Jason just to go along with the obvious majority of the house – It doesn’t mean they’re not cranky about it.
Shelli – Sixth Sense Alliance Member – Was OK with backdooring Austin – Is cranky at Vanessa because she told people that backdooring Jason was NOT just her decision and she knows people are putting two and two together and that they are now mad at her, too….
Clay – Sixth Sense Alliance Member – Was OK with backdooring Austin – He lied to Meg and told her he didn’t know about it ahead of time. He’s lucky he has Shelli because he is really clueless when talking to other people. Like zero self-awareness of how he comes off.
Austin – Sixth Sense Alliance Member – Did NOT want himself to be backdoored (I know, I know… I’m queen of the obvious, no? lol) – But is he cranky at the rest of the alliance for even considering putting him up? He loves to play Judas… On one hand, you gotta give him props for being able to talk Vanessa, Shelli and Clay out of getting rid of him – Because at one point, seemed like such a done deal… But he is so danged clueless about Liz – Although, he does have her to thank for originally talking Vanessa into entertaining the idea about keeping him. Maybe the showmance isn’t THAT bad of a deal for him, after all.
Liz – Sixth Sense Alliance Member – Did NOT want Austin to be backdoored and HATES Jason for outing the whole twin thing. She verbally backed-up Vanessa’s decision to Jackie and Shelli. Will she and Julia be the obvious target this week? Will they be seen as more of a threat than any other power couple in the house? Or will they actually be a power trio- between Liz, Julia and Austin? Hmmmm….
Julia – Sixth Sense Alliance Member – Likely cranky at Austin for targeting her over her sister and does NOT like Austin. Will she go along with the deals Liz has made? She knows Liz went against their agreement and voted to save Jeff – Which may actually prove to be a good thing if Jackie finds out about it.
Vanessa – Sixth Sense Alliance Member – Okay with backdooring Austin – Didn’t want to get blood on her hands but she has seemed to piss off both sides of the house now… She refused to be perceived as the lone decisionmaker in choosing to backdoor Jason – but threw at least Shelli and clay under the bus in the process.
James – Was OK with backdooring Austin – is NOW cranky at Jason’s nomination – Voted to evict Becky. I think he will likely be part of anything Meg is part of because I think he really likes her. He is very much a competition threat. They really should have evicted him when they had the chance, in my opinion.
Meg – Was OK with backdooring Austin – is NOW cranky at Jason’s nomination – Voted to evict Becky. She is so angry that Jason has been evicted… Well, and everyone else she gets close to. If she starts to play this game, I think she can be very convincing. She’s also really cranky that Clay lied to her face about Jason getting backdoored. Clay had better hope she doesn’t win HOH.
Jackie – Was OK with backdooring Austin – is NOW cranky at Jason’s nomination – She is SO mad at Vanessa it isn’t even funny. They kind of talked it out – and while Vanessa may not be her #1 target (I think that distinction goes to Shelli) – I would say Vanessa is in her top 3.
John – I don’t think he knew about the plot to backdoor Austin – But it seems to me he’s being nice enough to Sixth Sense Alliance members that he shouldn’t be one of their early targets. I have no idea where his true allegiances lay… His future vote may or may not be up for grabs – I don’t know… I haven’t been watching the feeds.
Steve – Yeah, I don’t know about Steve… I want him to do well… But his social game seems so horrible… He bemoaned (on the feeds) that the cool kids don’t like him (Meg, James, and Jason)… but he seems to be a man without a country. He’d better find one, soon.
Becky – Was OK with backdooring Austin… Early in the season, I thought she was squarely with Shelli – but I wonder if that’s really still true? She certainly feeds Shelli information – but since she is rarely (if ever) around when the big decisions are made, she surely must know she’s not part of the alliance, right?
What is your assessment? Do you think this is a pivotal week? Are you rooting for anyone in particular? Thanks for reading… See ya next time!
